Whether via ferrata climbs, high ropes gardens, attractive mountain tours, or family hikes, there is something for every vacation guest! Motorcycle
Motorcycle experiences between the Großglockner and the Dolomites
Welcome to the motorcycle paradise of East Tyrol! There is no better starting point for motorcyclists. Located on a magnificent sunny slope in the Defereggental in St. Veit, our inn is the ideal home base for many tours! Around 20 minutes away is the Staller Saddle, where you can start a tour of the Dolomties (Sellajoch, Grödnerjoch, Pordoijoch)! The Glocker tour as well as tours to the lakes in Carinthia, the Nockalmstraße, and to Friuli and Slovenia are also highly recommended. All these motorcycle tours are day tours and will make the pulse of every biker race faster with excitement!

Archery
Up-and-coming trendy sport
Relaxation, concentration, and fun - these are the main components of a sport that is becoming increasingly popular. In St. Veit, only 3 km from Alpengasthof Pichler, is a wonderfully designed course with ca. 30 3D animals. Here, you can "hunt" deer, chamois, and foxes. Archery is an ideal sport for families, because it combines a mixture of fun, adventure, and the thrill of the chase. An introduction to archery is also offered for beginners.
Mountain biking
Out and about on 2 wheels
The trails and routes for cyclists in the Defereggental can confidently be described as inexhaustible. They lead to staffed alpine huts as well as to ski huts or exceptional cultural sites. The Defereggental is also famous/infamous for a few mountain bike routes that pose a challenge even for the pros. The routes to the Speikbodenhütte, Brugger Alm, Staller Saddle, Bloshütte, and Hintere Alpe Stalle are very popular with everyone and have an excellent reputation. Or you can conquer the route around the Riesenferner, which is ca. 100 km long with almost 900 vertical meters. Mountain bikers can also tackle very attractive downhill trails. For those who prefer a more leisurely ride and want to enjoy nature, there is an opportunity to ride e-bikes. On reservation we are happy to provide you with 2 e-bikes for a day from the house for a fee!

The "Defereggental Golf Park" is located in the magnificent nature of the Defereggental, surrounded by the many impressive mountain summits of the Southern Alps. Improve your game on the attractive 9-hole, par 3 golf course with a large practice facility and modern, covered driving range. The competent golf pros at the golf academy will help you get your certification license in only 5 short days!
