A tradition spanning 100 years

On the night of 7 to 8 July 1955, the inn was completely destroyed by fire. Miraculously, the family and all the holiday guests who were staying there at the time – the inn was fully booked – were rescued unharmed and accommodated in the neighbourhood.

A charred wooden cross was recovered from the ruins, which still serves as a reminder of that night of the fire. The business was rebuilt within two years – but initially with only 14 guest beds.

Over time, further enlargements and renovations of the Alpengasthof were carried out. Among other things, the adjoining building ‘Passler’, our ‘Alm’, was purchased in 1962, which now houses five beautiful rustic and comfortable double rooms and two large holiday apartments for two to six people.

In spring 2017, Manuel decided to completely redesign the guest rooms in the main building. With great attention to detail, small retreats have been created here for your perfect stay in East Tyrol. The Alpengasthof Pichler now offers nature lovers a total of 18 rooms and 2 large holiday apartments – you are sure to feel completely at home here during your holiday.
